about

Dumptruck Sayonara, the best album of the last three millennia according to unnamed critics in Canada and Kyrgyzstan.

Just like the band, the album defies easy categorization, a pulsating stew of off-kilter sounds that somehow makes perfect sense and brings order to the universe. That’s even more the case if you’re standing on your head, and even more so if that head is someone else’s.
At its core, Dumptruck Sayonara is unadulterated, left-of-center rock, an avant-garde amalgamation of post-punk, funk, and industrial percussion with a side of warped comedy. Catchy robustly propulsive bass lines, offbeat pop hooks, jazzy trumpet and a steely backbeat are countered by the sounds of sheet metal, and guitar shrieks that mimic the cries of ornery porpoises and long-extinct infant pterodactyls.

Longtime fans will instantly break into uncontrollable, quasi-erotic convulsions when they hear live staples like “Baklava,” “I’d Like to Buy a Vowel,” and “Eat Your Vegetables”. Newcomers to the band’s musical stylings will appreciate the unyielding, undying chaos of the infinite void neatly distilled into palatable pop gems like “WRONG” and “Red Ryder”.
